Whether you have 10 minutes spare or would like to work with us in more depth on a subject close to your heart, we want to hear from you and would like to find out how we can work together to create a Healthy Liverpool.

We need to involve people from all walks of life in this to make sure we get it right. What you think, your experiences of healthcare, your ideas for what does and doesn’t work to keep people healthy are massively important. We want to make sure the decisions we take are shaped by the people we serve...that's you!

You can get involved in a number of ways. These include:

  • Sharing your thoughts or experiences of health services with NHS staff to help us improve – this could be as a one off or regular basis and could be in person or by computer/phone
  • Advising us on the information we provide to the public about health and wellbeing so that it's easy to understand and accessible to all
  • Joining in small discussion groups with other Liverpool people to help us test out a new way of doing something
  • Joining a regular panel of people who can provide more in depth feedback on a topic you really care about – again either in person or by computer/phone
  • Helping out at our public events
  • Sharing information about staying healthy with people in your community
  • Joining the Patient Group at your local GP surgery to help improve the service for patients
  • If you have a health condition, perhaps you could share your experiences with others?

We’ll offer you travel expenses, training and support as well as the opportunity to meet new people. You won’t only be helping others, you’ll also find that volunteering is a great way of improving your own health and wellbeing.

We are working with the Volunteer Centre Liverpool on this so if you'd like to find out more you can click here for details of current volunteer vacancies, email Steph Gregory at participation@volunteercentreliverpool.org.uk or call 0151 237 3982.
